Religious beliefs are on the rise in the United States, with more than 1.5 billion people identifying as “Christian,” according to a new report by Pew Research Center.
This number is up from just under half a billion in 2010.
And while religious affiliations vary by state, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have seen the largest increases in religion.
And in the U.S., religion continues to be a major driver of public life, with many Americans identifying as atheist, agnostic, and “nothing in particular” (Nones).
